We read this book around halloween and it was a lot of fun。 The class and I all enjoyed this story。 My class is a big fan of the Pete the Cat books though anyway so I knew this would be a hit with them！ I enjoyed reading this book with the kids。 There were some fun features to the book I have as well。 There were some like pop up things from the book and it came with a Halloween poster as well！

It is Pete。。。 it has lots of flaps to open。。。 it is about the fun side of Halloween。。。 what is there not to love？The girls were totally engaged by it！ Lexi is now able to read most of the words herself; Victoria was very happy to be responsible for lifting the flaps。。 and I was very happy to watch them and see their eyes light up with delight！Yes， there is not much of a story。。but really。。。 Pete is so groovy we love anything he does！

My problem with this book is not with the story itself。 I think this is a great book to read to a child to help prepare them for trick-or-treat。 The problem with this book is how poorly designed the flaps are。 This book is too delicate for many children of an age to benefit from this book。 Be especially careful if you have younger siblings that may get their hands on this book。 It's a shame really because it is a fun read。 My problem with this book is not with the story itself。 I think this is a great book to read to a child to help prepare them for trick-or-treat。 The problem with this book is how poorly designed the flaps are。 This book is too delicate for many children of an age to benefit from this book。 Be especially careful if you have younger siblings that may get their hands on this book。 It's a shame really because it is a fun read。 。。。more
